Welcome to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
Port Elizabeth is a charming coastal village located just 25 kilometres west of the city, near the breathtaking Maitland River mouth and its towering sand dunes.
Known for its Seaview Game and Lion Park, which is home to over 40 species of wildlife, including free-roaming giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest, this area offers a unique blend of nature and relaxation. Despite being only 30 minutes from the airport and city centre, Seaview retains a peaceful, country-like atmosphere, earning its reputation as the ‘wild side’ of Port Elizabeth with its miles of unspoiled sandy beaches, dramatic waves, and serene treed hills that provide spectacular ocean views.
The village has a small shopping centre and bottle store but remains a destination focused on outdoor activities such as fishing, swimming, snorkelling, and exploring tidal pools. Just a short drive away, visitors can also experience other renowned game reserves like Kragga Kamma and Shamwari or venture to the Addo Elephant National Park, home to the iconic Big Seven.
